IN PERSON: Free Expungement Clinic

Saturday, November 15, 2025: 10:00 a.m.

In partnership with the LA Law Library, Community Legal Aid Socal is offering a free expungement clinic. The clinic is open to qualifying residents of Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernadino and select areas within Orange County. The information session and attorney consultations are FREE.

The first part of the program will be an information session. It will cover what expungement is in California, how participants are eligible for the program and what documents are required from them to participate in later sessions. Following the information session, attorneys will be onsite to answer questions, open files, complete intake and start your expungement case that day.

Attorneys will provide consultations regarding Dismissals/Expungements, Arrest Record Sealings, Reductions, Juvenile Record Sealings and Certificates of Rehabilitation/Pardons.

If participants have questions, they are encouraged to call 714-571-5200.

ON DEMAND: Protecting the Constitutional Rights of Unhoused People

Class recorded September 17, 2024

Are city ordinances unconstitutional that prohibit people from camping on public sidewalks and parkland, when those people have nowhere else to go? Can the Eighth Amendment, banning cruel and unusual punishment, be applied to contravene fines, arrests, and other enforcements that criminalize involuntary homelessness? This event will review decisions rendered by America’s courts in considering these complex questions, and reflect on the promises and limitations of the Constitution in addressing policy issues related to poverty and housing insecurity.

Presented by: Shayla Myers, Senior Attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles' Unhoused People's Justice Project

Registration fee: FREE
