Check-in begins at 12:45 p.m. Please arrive 10 minutes early. Registration ends at 3:30 p.m.

LA Law Library, located in downtown Los Angeles, hosts Lawyers in the Library one Friday each month where volunteer attorneys will be available for free 20-minute consultations with people who have legal problems to discuss. This program is not a substitute for legal representation. Consultations are limited to twice per year per person.

Lawyers may not have experience in all areas of law.

Areas of law that are usually covered include:

  • Challenging Government Agency Decisions
  • Child Custody and Support
  • Civil Litigation
  • Conservatorships
  • Contracts
  • Criminal Law
  • Debt & Bankruptcy
  • Divorce - Family Law

Registration fees: FREE

No advance phone reservation or appointment is necessary.  Participants register on the day of the program and will be seen on a first-come, first-served basis.
