Janet Lewis, staff attorney at Public Counsel and Henry Kornman, a paralegal at Public Counsel. Both Janet and Henry work at Public Counsel’s Federal Pro Se Clinic, which is a walk-in clinic that provides free legal assistance for people representing themselves in the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

This workshop will teach participants to prepare for a family law trial, including:

  • How to present the evidence
  • How to prepare witness testimony
  • How to present exhibits

LA Law Library, located in downtown Los Angeles, hosts Lawyers in the Library one Friday each month where volunteer attorneys will be available for free 20-minute consultations with people who have legal problems to discuss. This program is not a substitute for legal representation. Consultations are limited to twice per year per person.

Lawyers may not have experience in all areas of law.
