LIVE ZOOM: MCLE: The Adolescent Brain in Court: What Every Lawyer Should Know

Monday, October 26, 2026: 12:00 p.m.- 1:00 p.m.

--- ZOOM INFORMATION WILL BE EMAILED TO REGISTRANTS PRIOR TO CLASS START TIME FOR CLASSES HELD VIA ZOOM ---

Adolescence does not end at 18 -- and neither do the developmental differences that shape judgment, risk-taking, impulse control, susceptibility to peers, and capacity for change. This presentation will translate the latest research on adolescent and emerging-adult brain development into practical insights for lawyers involved with cases involving young people and early adults. Using real-world legal examples, we will explore what neuroscience can -- and cannot -- tell us about culpability, decision-making, and rehabilitation.

MCLE Disclaimer: MCLE credit is only granted to attorneys licensed to practice law by the State Bar of California. Attorneys from other jurisdictions should contact their state bar to learn about credit reciprocity.
