ON DEMAND: MCLE: Volunteer Training: Tenant Power Toolkit

This training will provide substantive knowledge for attorneys and law students interested in volunteering to assist tenants fighting evictions. Attendees will learn to identify defenses and complete responsive pleadings in an unlawful detainer/eviction lawsuit, plus learn about volunteer opportunities at the L.A. County Bar’s monthly clinic for disabled veteran and HIV-positive tenants held at LA Law Library.

Class Covers: 

  • How to use the Tenant Power Toolkit
  • How to review eviction documents in order to identify defenses
  • How to complete responsive pleadings
  • Trauma-informed practices and volunteer opportunities

Earn 1.5 hours general participatory MCLE credit
