How do I write a simple will?

California law provides for a “fill-in-the-blanks” will form. The will form is designed for single, married or divorce people with relatively small estates. This form can be printed out from the California legislative website click here.

Is there a process for transferring small estates in California without going to court?

In cases in which the estate value is $150,000 or less, probate may not be required. These resources contain information about small estate probate procedures in California:
