This video was created by staff at the LA Law Library to be presented at a conference “Public Libraries and Access to Justice,” on Jan 11-12, 2010 in Austin, TX. The conference focused on the development of model programs that would connect the courts, law libraries and public libraries. The programs would prepare public librarians to provide access to legal information for their users. As part of the conference curriculum, library staff produced a video demonstrating the public librarian’s use of online, print and referral services for the general public. The entire production was produced, written and directed in house with members of our staff participating as both the librarians and public in each scene.
The LA Law Library would like to thank staff members James Arnall, Channa Cajero, Diego Chavez, Paula Hoffman, Marcia Koslov, Janine Liebert, Shohreh Saljooghi, Ralph Stahlberg and Betsy Warner for volunteering their time to participate.
This video project was in partnership with the Self Represented Litigants Network, the National Center for State Courts and the Gates Foundation.
