LA Law Library, located in downtown Los Angeles, hosts Lawyers in the Library one Friday each month where volunteer attorneys will be available for free 20-minute consultations with people who have legal problems to discuss. This program is not a substitute for legal representation. Consultations are limited to twice per year per person.
Lawyers may not have experience in all areas of law.
Areas of law that are usually covered include:
- Bankruptcy and Debt Collection
- Child Custody and Support
- Divorce – Family Law
- Government Benefits
- Landlord/Tenant Disputes
- Personal Injury

Notice: Registration does not guaranty a consultation. The number of people receiving consultations may be limited due to time constraints.
