Using the Library’s print and digital collection and expert research knowledge, LA Law Library Reference Librarians offer one-on-one research assistance and training in person, by phone or email. Librarians will identify research paths to find answers to your legal questions and provide instruction for using the print and electronic resources available at LA Law Library.

LA Law Library Reference Staff:
  • Listen to your question(s)
  • Identify research methods for finding an answer
  • Recommend specific print and digital sources
  • Help locate hard-to-find legal information
  • Provide instructions on using the print and digital resources offered at the law library
  • Help with e-delivery requests
  • Refer to Library classes and programs that can help
  • Assist in finding legislative history information
  • Teach classes at the Library, in-person and online
  • Give tours of the library
