GLOBAL LAW: FOREIGN, COMPARATIVE, AND INTERNATIONAL LEGAL RESEARCH AT LA LAW LIBRARY

LA Law Library offers one of the most comprehensive collections of foreign, comparative, and international legal materials in the United States. With over 300,000 volumes in print and access to multiple foreign law databases, these resources represent more than one-third of the Library’s total holdings. The collection includes up-to-date primary and secondary legal materials from jurisdictions across the globe and serves a wide range of researchers—legal professionals, scholars, and the general public in Los Angeles County and beyond.

SPECIALIZED SUPPORT FOR GLOBAL LEGAL RESEARCH

The Library has a long-standing tradition of excellence in supporting international and foreign legal research. A dedicated Global Law Librarian is available to provide expert assistance—whether in person, by phone, or via email—including tailored resource lists on a variety of Global Law topics.
