ON DEMAND: We Are LA Pro Bono Eviction Defense Training for Law School Students

Class recorded January 10, 2024

Los Angeles is facing a homelessness crisis and law students, post-grads and attorneys are needed to help prevent unjust evictions of low-income tenants. This training will provide an overview of the eviction process and outline current housing laws that protect tenants against eviction. Participants will also hear from current and former law clerks and fellows about their experiences with helping provide free legal assistance to tenants facing eviction while learning litigation skills under the supervision of legal aid attorneys. Finally, the presentation will conclude with an overview of various paid opportunities available for law students and post-grads.
