The use of interpreters and translators is increasingly vital in a global economy and a multilingual Los Angeles. In this class, learn the nuts and bolts of legal interpretation and translation from a seasoned professional, including when and how to appropriately use an interpreter or translator and how to approach interpretation/translation issues as they arise in litigation or transactional practice.

Presented by Barry Schreiber:

Barry Schreiber is the Director of Marketing at Allied Interpreting, and a partner in the Tel Aviv firm of Guy, Bachar & Co. He is a licensed attorney in Florida and Israel, has served as a Judge Pro Tem in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and has worked in a variety of other legal and business leadership roles over the years, including as an elected Miami-Dade County, Florida Commissioner for 14 years, a registered political lobbyist for six years, an executive coach, an insurance broker, and as a licensed investment banker. Barry is also an actor, and has been a SAG-AFTRA member since 1985. He is fluent in Hebrew and speaks some Spanish.
