The Library provides reference service and will assist users to facilitate their research. Telephone reference service is limited to short, specific questions. The Library staff does not perform legal research and takes great care to avoid the unauthorized practice of law. The Library staff will neither give legal opinions or advice nor will it comment upon or explain the meaning of a text.
The Copy Center is available to all patrons and visitors to the LA Law Library. The Copy Center can accommodate needs for photocopies, printouts from our computers as well as from the microfiche reader-printer.
Document Delivery is available to outside parties to request materials from the LA Law Library collection and for LA Law Library to obtain items that it does not hold for residents of LA County.

QuestionPoint / Ask A Librarian is a service offered to all our online patrons that enables them to connect directly to a live librarian through live-chat software. We also offer a direct phone line to our reference librarians as well as email.
