MCLE: Volunteer Training: Family Preparedness Workshop

The deportation of undocumented parents can have devastating and long-term consequences for their children—they can be left without any person having the legal authority to enroll them in school or authorize medical treatment, and many will be risk of entering the foster care system. Learn how to assist undocumented parents prepare for deportation and the possibility of separation from their children – and stay to volunteer at the clinic!

At these clinics, volunteers assist parents with:

  • Making a plan of action for the care of their children
  • Drafting and executing critical documents, such as Caregiver's Affidavits

Earn 1.0 hour General MCLE credit
