Tuesday, February 20, 2018
5:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

As the nation’s prison population continues to rise, academics, policymakers and society at large are beginning to grapple with the problems posed by mass incarceration, deteriorating prison and jail conditions, and other issues in the criminal justice system. This distinguished panel brings together stakeholders to discuss policies and practices to address these problems and related issues. The panel will discuss advances in prison oversight, effective management of prisoner litigation and grievances, programs that support successful reentry, and related local reforms in policing and prosecution. Question and answer session with panelists to follow.
