Election 2018: Learn the Law Behind the Headlines

Wednesday Oct. 24, 2018   12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m.

As the midterm elections approach, join L.A. County Inspector General Max Huntsman for a discussion of the law behind the headlines. Learn about redistricting and "gerrymandering" (the practice of drawing legislative districts to advantage one group over another in elections); laws that address voter fraud, which many believe serve to suppress minority and other voters from disadvantaged groups; the electoral college; the ballot measure to divide California into three separate states; and more.

Presented by:
Max Huntsman, Office of the Inspector General, County of Los Angeles
