Protecting Your “Intangible” Assets, Part 2: Confidential Information and Trade Secrets

Tuesday, April 12, 2016
12:00 p.m. — 2:00 p.m.

Many successful businesses develop important assets that are “intangible.” In addition to traditional intellectual property assets that can be copyrighted or patented, such assets can also include confidential information like customer information, or trade secrets such as technical information or a particular manufacturing process. In this class, learn how to protect such valuable information.

Class covers:

  • Trade secrets: how to obtain, protect, and enforce
  • Non-competition agreements: enforceable or not?
  • Using privacy laws to protect confidential information
  • Your employee’s legal duty of loyalty: how far does it go?
  • Avoiding a wrongful termination lawsuit

Presented by Dylan Wiseman, Henry Josefsberg & Perry L. Segal:

He represents employers in cases involving trade secrets, unfair competition, employee mobility, non-solicitation restrictions, and related matters, and has been lead trial counsel in several complex-designated jury trials.
