Jacob Stein is a Partner at Aliant, LLP. He specializes in sophisticated estate and asset protection planning, and complex U.S. and international tax planning. He is a leading tax practitioner and speaker, an adjunct professor of taxation at the CSU Northridge Graduate Tax Program, and an instructor with the California CPA Education Foundation. He is the author of numerous books, scholarly articles and technical manuals. His most recent book, A Lawyer’s Guide to Asset Protection Planning in California (2d ed.), published in April of 2016, is the only legal treatise on asset protection specific to California.
