This class will afford both newer and experienced advocates the opportunity to be more prepared, composed, and confident at your next oral argument. Learn the ins, outs and nuances of preparing for and presenting oral arguments in both California and federal appellate courts

Presented by Robert A. Olson and Jonathan H. Eisenman
Robert Olson is a partner in Greines, Martin, Stein & Richland LLP (GMSR). Both he and his firm specialize in appellate proceedings in state and federal courts, including appeals, petitions for extraordinary writs, amicus briefs, and petitions for review and certiorari, as well as related law and motion in trial courts. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers, past president of the California Academy of Appellate Lawyers and certified as an Appellate Law Specialist by the State Bar of California Board of Legal Specialization. He has taught Appellate Advocacy as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School. He has been named to the “Best Lawyers in America” and Southern California “Superlawyers” lists.

Jonathan Eisenman is an associate at GMSR. Prior to joining GMSR, he served as a term law clerk to the Honorable Mary H. Murguia on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, as a term law clerk to the Honorable Virginia A. Phillips on the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and as a career law clerk to both Judge Phillips and the Honorable David T. Bristow. Mr. Eisenman previously worked as a litigation and appellate associate at an international law firm.
