Designer, Print and Web / Interactive

The LA Law Library has a unique and creative position for an energetic and motivated individual interested in social media marketing, website functionality, and graphic design. The Designer, Print and Web/Interactive, is a designer whose work is equally split between print and web/interactive mediums. They are responsible for creating and executing design concepts as well as maintaining visual appearance, usability and brand continuity. Areas of work include: branding, graphics, communications, interaction, research/strategic, or environmental design for print media or digital delivery. This position will be involved in maintaining, building, linking and promoting multiple company websites and for building and maintaining social media sites via Twitter, LinkedIn & Facebook.

Director of Communications

The Director of Communications is responsible for the recognition and awareness of the LA Law Library, its collection and services in the local state, national and international communities. The Director of Communications will work to identify and definea positive public image of the Law Library through the development of public relation messages and the preparation of information, illustrative material and other data relating the Law Library. The Director of Communications will manage all media relations, brochures and collateral materials, signage, events,web messaging and social media including all online discussion of the Law Library its partnerships, resources and services.

Library Aide - Circulation

Check-in and check-out of resources; set up new borrower accounts, Answer phones, assign public computers, track statistics, organize current legal periodicals, files closed accounts, maintain one and three day holds, Receive payments/handle money, organize books to be re-shelved and maintain circulation desk area.

Library Aide – Scanning

Retrieve printed materials from multiple locations within the library and transport them in boxes to the Scanning Department. Log information from the printed materials into our custom web-based applications. Remove the binding from printed materials as required using custom tools provided. Crop the size of the materials using a laser-guided electric paper cutter. Scan printed materials with high-speed scanner or step-and-repeat scanner as required. Prepare scanned materials for shipment by placing them in labeled boxes with printed manifest to be stored in house until ready for shipment to off-site storage.
